Within the branch there are over twenty divers who have attained the BSAC 'Advanced Diver' qualification. This provides a core group who undertake more adventurous dives, often beyond a depth of 50m recommended by the BSAC.
Over the last year this group has explored rarely visited wrecks in the North Sea and on the west Coast of Scotland. Activities are based on both hard-boat and RIB's. Many of the dives in this range are conducted using Nitrox and mixed gas..
Nitrox Fills available in Harrogate
The club is delighted to be able to offer Nitrox fills to suitably qualified members, at our own compressor facility in Harrogate.
Nitrox is a air/oxygen mix which improves diver performance for certain depths, and for which additional training is required.
Members who wish to take advantage of this should discuss the facility with the Equipment Officer who can advise on filling times. Please note it is NOT a self-service facility.
