Diving for Qualified Divers
It doesn't matter whether you gained your diving qualification with BSAC, PADI, NAUI, SAA or any of the other recognised training bodies, a warm welcome awaits you at Harrogate Sub-Aqua Club.
With two boats, our own air compressor, nitrox blending and a large group of active divers, there are dives planned for most weekends from April onwards. Because of the large number of members, you can always find a dive that will meet your requirements, whether for wreck, reef, scenic or training dives.
In our clubhouse we have a 'dive board', on the left as you come in. All branch dives are advertised here, and anyone can put their name down for any dive for which they are qualified.
Skill development, training assessments and practical experience building are part of all dives. Our instructors help others to move from one qualification to a higher level on many of our dives.

Qualifications from other Training Organisations
Several of our current members have trained with other organisations, such as PADI, SSI, NAUI and SAC , and then joined the club as qualified divers.
You no longer have to undergo extensive retraining, although we do follow BSAC procedures and diving policy on all our dives - most divers quickly adopt to the small number of differences. We also offer "conversion" courses to divers who have been trained with other training organisations, to take them up to the standards set by BSAC for safe diving in UK waters.
Once you have joined and had your qualification accepted, you can undertake additional training, attend BSAC Skill Development courses or undertake Instructor training all as part of the BSAC Syllabus
